Legal Lies is a Socio-Political track in a Reggae/Ska feel composed by Darren Guthrie and performed by the Guthrie Trio. The track was recorded between the John Butler Studio Fairbridge & Sativa Sounds. Legal Lies was mixed with the assistance of Peter Renzullo from Scudley Records and mastered by Sean Diggins of Digital Diggo

The track was composed with the injustice of the legal system in mind. Often legislation doesn't represent the current time or situation at hand, leaving society stuck either abiding by outdated laws or having to challenge them. These days we see the government saying one thing and doing another with no accountability for their actions. Legal Lies is a socio-political statement regarding this and showcases the Guthrie Trio's ability to pack a meaningful message into a captivating composition with a catchy saxophone hook.
